The Main Street Social was established by Liz Dawson five years ago has become a hub for various events and socialization. She and her son, Robert, have brought Afton to life in the evenings with various bands, activities and delicious food along with creative, signature cocktails in an elegant atmosphere.

Congratulations to our 2023 Organization of the Year
Afton VFW and Auxiliary POST 3529 provides a great support to our military families. The post was established on September 26, 1987. They help us remember and recognize those who have served our country in foreign wars. Their Saturday morning pancake breakfast can’t be beat!

Congratulations to our 2023 Citizen of the Year
Judy Hinman volunteers on many committees and boards including GAACOC, 4Towns Forward, BGA Dollars for Scholars and the Chenango Foundation. She works tirelessly for our community and is always smiling. You will often see her doing everything from passing out popcorn to organizing events or even planting flowers.
